Ohayo! Welcome to A Queer Turn of Events, the webcomic that is the third of the Queer Circle genderqueer youngish adult novels by Lisa Lees. At this point, the story has morphed into the realm of fantasy or science fiction, because reality can't be like this... right? You've never felt like... oh, I see. Well, okay; we can add a few more people to the troupe. Yokoso! |

My comics begin life as pencil sketches. I use Adobe Photoshop to scan and resize art, then use Manga Studio to put things together. In strip 2-1, the first two panels were inked and colored in Adobe Illustrator, panel 3 was inked and toned in Manga Studio, and panel 4 is a pencil sketch that was minimally edited and toned in Manga Studio. Strips 2 on were toned and colored in Manga Studio. With strip 5 I decided to return to inking on paper to remind myself not to put too much detail into a panel. I also decided I need to tone the hair to help with character differentiation. My goal is to tone and cel-shade every strip, with occasional color panels.
I have been a comics fan all my life and have often drawn isolated strips, but this is my first continuing effort. It's taking me a while to figure out how to do a page a week in addition to my LBGT Resource Center job and my volunteer theater work; I'm afraid I've been sloppy in a few places. Sorry! I'm trying hard to do my best, develop a consistent style and tell an interesting story. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to visit!
(Si peut-être vous vous demandez pourquoi je me servie des mots japonais, c'est seulment parce que je suis étrange. ;)
